Event Description

Please join us for a screening of The Piping Plovers of Moonlight Bay on Thursday, December 4th at 7:00pm at City Cinema. 

This enchanting documentary by Kim Smith follows a pair of piping plovers throughout their nesting season on a busy beach along the North Atlantic coastline. Smith captures the heartwarming resilience and courage of these shorebirds as they navigate the many threats and obstacles of nesting and raising chicks on a crowded beach. The Piping Plovers of Moonlight Bay is perfect for a winter movie night and highlights the importance of conservation and fostering healthy ecosystems.  

We will host a virtual Q & A after the screening with the Director, Kim Smith.  

Details:

Location: City Cinema, 64 King St, Charlottetown. 

Doors will open at 6:30pm. A complimentary drink (non-alcoholic) and popcorn will be available to all attendees. Additional snacks will be available for purchase.

Documentary screening: 7:00 – 8:00pm  

Director Q&A: 8:00 – 9:00pm
