Kayle Laverty

Farmland Birds Coordinator

Kayle grew up on PEI and spent most of her childhood exploring the shores of the Fortune River. It was this upbringing that fostered her deep connection and love for our wild spaces and inspired her to pursue her education in conservation.

She has a technical diploma in Wildlife Conservation through Holland College, as well as a Bachelor of Wildlife Conservation from the University of Prince Edward Island. She now resides in rural PEI with her family and enjoys hiking, canoeing, and showing her kids all the amazing things you can find in nature!

She is currently the Farmland Birds Coordinator and is working with species at risk on agricultural lands. Working in such a collaborative workplace has given her the opportunity to do some of her favorite things while at work; what more could you ask for
