Simon Andrea
Land Acquisition Manager
Originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Simon spent his childhood hiking, camping, and canoeing across Atlantic Canada with his family and Scouts. This developed his appreciation for the natural world and led him to pursue a future of protecting it for years to come.
Simon has a Bachelor of Environmental Science from Dalhousie University with a minor in Economics. He worked with agricultural invasive species management and sea level rise modelling before joining Island Nature Trust in 2021. His role as Land Acquisition Manager focuses on securing ecologically significant land for perpetual protection.
Simon lives in Charlottetown with his partner, their two dogs, Senna and Goose, and rabbit, Jellybean. When Simon isn’t working, he is hiking with his pups, volunteering with Scouts Canada, baking, or playing strategy games.
