Sydney Matthews

Originally from Southern Alberta, Sydney spent her childhood exploring the prairies and mountains with her family. She attended Lakeland College and received a diploma in Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation. Upon graduation, she took the plunge to drive across Canada to attend UPEI and get her Bachelor of Wildlife Conservation. As a recent 2024 graduate, Sydney has just begun her career at Island Nature Trust as a Conservation Technician with a focus on ornithology. In her free time, you can find Sydney trekking through the woods on PEI looking for birds and wildlife to photograph and observe.
